Avarie LaRae and Rich Burroughs on the Impossible Project’s PZ 680 film.
My second shoot with Avarie in about a month was a blast. The first shoot I had a lot of very specific ideas, we shot for my Polaroid book and a story for Fixation Magazine. This time we had almost no agenda, we just hung out and made some pretty pictures. I was very confident we’d get some nice images, she’s a great fit for my work. And I love her face.
We ended up busting out some of her wardrobe that was a bit more colorful than things I usually shoot. I’ve been noticing that the colors are very pretty with this film, and wanting to take advantage of it more. Also we had very nice light that day. I think a lot of times when I’ve shot this film it’s been a little too dark. I liked the earlier results, but the tones on the shots we got are so pretty.
